The weaving expertise of the "mouchtia," specific to the town of Jbeniana, was traditionally used to create a long woolen headdress worn during wedding ceremonies in Jbeniana, located north of Sfax. The weavers of Jbeniana also use this skill to craft the trousseau for young girls in the family, including cushions and carpets that feature the mouchtia weaving patterns. The Esset Nafissa group is composed of about twenty female artisans and designers. Today, the Esset Nafissa group proudly presents a collection of handcrafted products, including rugs, cushions, wall hangings, and bags, all made by hand in the traditional artisanal way.
