The Nakhwa Association for Women and Families, founded in 2012, focuses on promoting the status of female artisans by utilizing local natural resources and the unique specialties of the Métouia oasis in Gabes. Specializing in the development of reed weaving techniques and the use of by-products from date palms, the association works towards sustainable artisanal development of oasis products. All products can be custom ordered and made to specification.
